Donations Supporting the West Coast Michael Gathering

What is the value of having and attending Michael Gatherings? In addition to the opportunity to connect, learn and have fun with our community, Michael said:

“The gatherings act as a kind of uploading/Review process for our students. Many students allow themselves a period of time during these gatherings to shed most of their imprinting and subpersonalities of defense in ways that are different from when we work with them outside of the context of a "safe space." (Michael, channeled by Troy Tolley, August 7, 2016)

The West Coast Gathering is managed by an Organizing Committee whose function is to design and implement a program that will meet the needs of as many Michael Students as possible. And we know that one of those needs is to keep the program affordable for a wide range of students. Currently, the amount you pay to attend a Gathering includes the actual costs of your meals and lodging, if staying overnight, as well as our direct costs for meeting rooms, facility fees and miscellaneous expenses such as webhosting, event insurance, printing and supplies.

The fees do not include stipends or travel reimbursement for our speakers or Organizing Committee members or the deposit to reserve our Gathering facility. We rely on donations to contribute to these items that are critical to the Gathering’s success. This allows us to keep our prices as low as possible for those to whom the fees are a major financial commitment, allowing those with more financial flexibility to supplement where they can.

We currently solicit two types of donations, and the Gathering registration form contains a place to include an amount for one or both:
  • Donations for Presenters: divided among the speakers at the current event.
  • Donations for the WCMG general fund: for current and/or future stipends, travel assistance and miscellaneous Gathering needs, as well as for accrual for the Gathering facility deposit.
For many participants, the easiest way to donate is through your Gathering Registration, however, we understand that it may not be the most convenient time for all of you. So we gratefully accept checks and PayPal donations year round through Ed Hamerstrom, who maintains a bank account for our group funds.

Checks can be mailed to 1655 Carson Woods Rd., Fortuna, CA 95540. Or you can use PayPal to send funds to metasyn@aol.com under “Friends and Family” (so it doesn't incur fees).

Please be aware that although donations may increase your balance of positive karma, the IRS does not, at this time, view them as tax–deductible.

We greatly appreciate whatever you can contribute!
